 ORURILLO LAGOON

Orurillo is a town located on the shores of a shallow lagoon with abundant biodiversity of flora and fauna. The lagoon is covered with reeds and filled with algae such as llachus and laccos. Various birds can be seen, such as choqas, panas, chullumpis, and Andean ducks. It is a perfect place for birdwatching and observing climate change.

 Inka Montera Island

Our journey begins at the Inka Montera dock and then we travel to Inka Montera Island, located in the Orurillo district, which was decorated for the visitor. This island features homes made of totora reeds harvested from the island's waters.

TEMPLE OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI

Located on the main square of Ayaviri, the Temple of San Francisco de Asís is more than 300 years old and still standing. Built in the Andean Baroque style, its façade is one of the most prominent in the highlands, with three superimposed columns. Inside, 18th-century paintings by Isidoro Francisco de Moncada depict religious scenes in an archaic style for the period, making it a true jewel of the national heritage.

 PUNKU PUNKU

Punku Punku (6 km north of Ayaviri). This important natural heritage is characterized by a rugged and high geography. It's a beautiful one.

 SPA POJPOQUELLA

Located 3,907 meters above sea level, the Ayaviri hot springs are located at the base of Kolqueparque Hill, in the southeast corner of the city. With a cold, dry climate, these waters flow at a rate of approximately 3 liters per second. The site offers visitor infrastructure, including recreational and relaxation areas.

KOLQUEPARK LOOKOUT

Located east of the city of Ayaviri, the natural viewpoint on Cerro Kolqueparque overlooks the city and its beautiful sunset. It is said that from here you can see Cerro Antaymarka, the scene of a pre-Inca battle. This hill has been a ceremonial center for offerings to Pachamama.

MAUCALLACTA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

Located in Nuñoa, Melgar, the archaeological site contains pre-Incan structures in an ellipse on a hill. Featuring rectangular rooms, tall, narrow doorways, and similar windows, the buildings are constructed of stone and polished mud on their exteriors and rounded corners. The site covers more than 350,000 square meters on a plain measuring 700 by 500 meters, with an axis extending from the urban area to the nearby hill.
